UNIVERSAL ADCOM USES DECEPTIVE TACTICS
TO TARGET BUSINESSES

The Better Business Bureau alerts Middle Tennessee businesses to the deceptive sales practices of Universal Adcom aka Premier Impressions, Hometown Productions, and Premier Map, located in Arlington, Texas.  A variety of other business names, such as D & L Map Service, Fanfare Sport Marketing and Scoreboard Productions and an additional location in Peoria, Illinois have also been used by representatives, which all link back to the Arlington, Texas location.

Business owners contacting BBB indicate the company offers advertising for products such as maps, directories, magnets, t-shirts, etc., and are led to believe the advertising opportunity is offered "in cooperation with", "on behalf of", or working with' the Chamber of Commerce, the BBB, or a local school.

BBB has received hundreds of complaints that allege the company billed for orders not placed; misrepresented its affiliation with a school, a chamber of commerce or civic organization; conducted harassing and deceptive sales calls; non-receipt of product or poor quality; and refusal to remove businesses from calling list.

If you have had an unsatisfactory experience with this company, BBB would like to speak with you.  Please call 615-242-4222 or file a complaint at bbb.org/nashville.

The Lawrence County Chamber encourages you to do business with Chamber members.  "We have several members that provide marketing opportunities and these are people that we know and businesses we can trust," says Beth Keaton, Chamber Membership Director.  See the Chamber Member Directory before your next purchase.
