CHAMBER LUNCH & LEARN

A Chamber Lunch & Learn is set for Wednesday, September 17 from 12:00-1:00pm at Columbia State Lawrence County Center for the purpose of recruiting mentors to assist high school seniors with the TN Promise Scholarship process.

The mentoring component is vital to the success of the program and only requires at most eight to ten hours of time within a school year.  Jennifer Dreis, Regional Coordinator with tnAchieves will present the information and answer questions about the process.  Applicants may also apply to be a mentor at
tnAchieves.org.

Lunch will be provided, compliments of Avalon Hospice, through JA's Munch-A-Lunch fundraiser.   Pre-registration is required by calling the Chamber today at 762-4911.

ENROLLMENT FAIR IS SEPTEMBER 18

The Lawrence County Imagination Library will celebrate its 9th anniversary with an Enrollment Fair Thursday, September 18 from 2:00-4:00pm. The events will be held at the Lawrenceburg City Municipal Complex, First Farmers in Loretto, and First Volunteer in Summertown.

Refreshments, compliments of Fancy Pants Consignment on the Lawrenceburg Square, First Farmers, and  First Volunteer.  Loretto Telecom will give out balloons and also available will be IL coloring books, bookmarks, and stickers.  Read along with Lawrenceburg Mayor Keith Durham and meet Harry, the mascot for the Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter.  Enrollment in the program is free to children from birth to age five.
