COLUMBIA STATE AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS
RECEIVE A TENNESSEE LEAP GRANT

A LEAP grant , in the amount of $135,918.00, is a partnership between Columbia State Community College, Public School Systems ( Lawrence, Maury, and Williamson counties), Homeland LLC, Lawrenceburg Utility Systems, neXperia, Williamson Medical Center, Wiremasters, and the South Central TN Workforce Alliance. 

This grant will be used to create a new academic program at Columbia State for mobile application development.  The program will be housed as a concentration within the Information Systems Technology Associate in Applied Science degree program.  The students will be trained in the three major systems ( Android, iOS(Apple) and Windows) to ensure their compatibility with the needs of the marketplace.
