Visit the Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter and the Mitzi Sweet Memorial Dog Park

Take advantage of the Mitzi Sweet Memorial Dog Park located adjacent to the Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter. Directions: Travel Hwy. 64 West, turn left onto Skyline Drive. When the road forks, you will see the dog park sign on the right. The park includes two large chain link enclosures, water access, pooper stations, covered picnic tables and a ¼ mile wooded walking trail.  Shelter hours are Monday through Friday, 8-4, but call 242-3511 or 762-0450 to make sure an employee is on site, and Saturday and Sunday 9-12.  The Dog Park is open from daylight to one-half hour before dark. Puppies under the age of 4 months and female dogs in heat are not permitted in the park. A complete list of rules is posted at the enclosure entrances. Find more info HERE.
