Chamber Presents the 61st Annual Christmas Parade

The Chamber of Commerce will present the 61st Annual Lawrence County Christmas Parade this Saturday, December 5 at 5:00pm.  More than 20 floats along with bands, antique cars, tractors, commercial, and service groups are registered for the lineup that begins at 4:00pm.  We will honor the Summertown Dixie Youth SweeTee 5/6 year old World Series winners, as the 2015 Grand Marshal.   The Judges' booth will be located in front of the Historic Crockett Theater and will be sponsored this year by Cozy Cabin Coffee.   Welcome Santa Claus as he rides through downtown on a beautiful stage coach provided by Heritage Campground and RV Park.  Mayor Keith Durham will signal the start of the parade with the lighting of the Mayor's Christmas Tree on the Lawrenceburg Square. will live stream the parade with Main Street's April Judkins and the Chamber's Ryan Egly introducing each entry.  Look for the lineup in Wednesday's Advocate and Friday's Democrat Union.



The City of Loretto invites you to a groundbreaking ceremony for the new City Pool Tuesday, December 1 at Burke Park at 3:00pm.   Refreshments will follow in the Civic Center.

Ricky Lee, Bethany, and Ricky Nelson will host an Open House on Thursday, December 3 from 2:00 until 6:00pm.  A Chamber Ribbon Cutting will be held at 2:45.  Nelson Studios is located at 2356 Springer Road in Lawrenceburg behind Wal-Mart.

The 26th Annual Spirit of Santa Ham and Biscuit Breakfast is Thursday and Friday from 7:00 till 9:00am at the City Auditorium. Please bring monetary donations or new and unwrapped toys and clothes for children birth to age 12.  For questions contact the Lawrenceburg Parks Department at 931-762-4231.
