Chamber Kicks-Off The Shopping Season

The Chamber of Commerce will kick-off the Christmas shopping season with the 33rd Annual Christmas In The Country November 20, 21, and 22 at the Lawrenceburg Rotary Park.   More than 90-vendors, all under roof, will have gifts to please everyone on your Christmas list.  Shop for antiques, baskets, breads, cakes & candies, Christmas spiders, crafts, dolls and doll clothes,folk art, glassware, jewelry, home decor, quilts, stitchery, toys and much more.  Eat in at the Show and don't forget to visit the funnel cake and kettle corn booths. 

Santa will make a special visit on Saturday from 10am-2pm  and again Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:00pm.   Picture packages will be available and printed on site by Kimberly's Photos.  Channel 4's Snowbird will fly in on Sunday to greet everyone from 1:00-3:00pm. 

Admission is $5 for the Show's special showing on Friday night from 6-9pm and $3 Saturday from 9am-5:pm and Sunday from 1-4pm.  Kids 8 and under admitted free. 


Kari Chunn, BBB TN Valley Branch Manager, presented valuable information to more than eighty seniors at the 4th Annual Don't Be Tricked  held at the Lawrence County Senior Center.  The lunch program was sponsored in part by the Better Business Bureau, Medi-Quip, Inc., Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, and the Lawrence County Senior Center.  The event provided seniors with information about the many scams targeting them and how they can avoid becoming victims.   Door prizes were donated by Boston, Holt, Sockwell & Durham, Caring Hearts Home Healthcare, Goody's Department Store, Jeff Hood Auctions, Hospice Compassus, J & M Tax and Accounting, Keestone Senior Community, Lawrence Farmers Co-op, NHC Homecare, One Stop Medical, Southern TN Regional Health System, The Summit At Home, and The Summit of Lawrenceburg.


Santa will arrive early on Saturday, December 5 for lunch with the kids before the Chamber Christmas Parade.   Meet Santa at the Pulaski Street rail crossing as he arrives by TN Southern Railroad at 11:30am.   Follow him to Providence Hall where Santa's elves will serve lunch.  Kids can eat with Santa and get a picture that will printed on site for only $10.  Tickets are on sale now at Fancy Pants Consignment Boutique, 2 Public Square, Lawrenceburg.  Seating is limited.  For questions call Beth at the Chamber 931.762.4911.
