CHAMBER ENCOURAGES YOU TO SHOP LOCAL

The Lawrence County Chamber encourages everyone to think local when shopping this holiday season.  Shopping with local merchants not only provides tax dollars to support our schools, roads, and public services; shopping local also provides jobs with pay checks that are spent right here in our community.

From Summertown to St. Joe, show your love for small business and 'shop small' on Small Business Saturday, November 28th.   Small business is the perfect place to find that unique gift for someone special.  And don't forget gift certificates are great for that hard to please person !

The annual Loretto Christmas Gift Open House will be held on Sunday, November 29 from 11:00am until 4:00pm in the gymnasium at the Loretto Sacred Heart School.  10% of all merchant sales will be donated to the school.

Visit the Lawrenceburg Public Square for the annual Main Street Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 5th.  Extended hours and special sales throughout the day.  Have lunch or take a dessert break at Yum or Bliss Farm Market and Cafe !

For a list of Chamber Members see the Member Directory at

DECEMBER 5TH INCLUDES FUN FOR ALL AGES

Saturday, December 5th is a busy day in Lawrence County that includes fun for all ages.

Main Street Lawrenceburg will host the annual 5K HO HO Hustle on the Public Square at 7:30am.  Registration will be held from 6:30-7:15am.

Just 4Kids Pediatrics and the Chamber of Commerce invite everyone to welcome Santa at the Pulaski Street rail crossing at 11:30am and walk with him to Providence Hall for lunch at 12noon.  Tickets are only $10 and include lunch, a picture with Santa, and a candy bag.  Tickets on sale at Fancy Pants Consignment & Boutique on the Lawrenceburg Square.   For the little ones too small for lunch, picture only tickets for $3 will be sold at the door from 1:00 till 2:00pm.    Enjoy the classic movie "Polar Express" at 2:45, sponsored by Main Street Lawrenceburg.

Gather around the square for the lighting of the Mayor's Christmas Tree at 4:55pm, signaling the start of the annual Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade at 5:00pm.  Parade entries must call the Chamber 762-4911 to register.  The deadline to be listed in the Advocate and Democrat Union is Tuesday (tomorrow) by close of day.
