Aviagen Relocates Several Divisions of its
Production Operation to Loretto, TN

Aviagen, the world’s leading poultry breeding company, has announced plans to relocate several divisions of its Production Operation to a newly acquired facility in Loretto, TN. This move will allow Aviagen better efficiency by being more centrally located to the facilities that they service.
“A strong commitment to biosecurity best practices is the best way to avoid disease that can threaten the health of our breeding flocks,” said Jason Mack, Vice President of Operations at Aviagen. “We’re excited to bring Aviagen’s Clean-Out and Vaccination Departments to Loretto, and we look forward to growing our ranks with new employees from the community.”
Loretto Mayor Jesse Turner added, “On behalf of Loretto, I welcome Aviagen to our town. Loretto appreciates Aviagen’s decision to become part of our growing community and we all look forward to making this fine company feel at home.”
Turner also mentioned the team effort and hard work involved in making the Aviagen move a reality, saying “This announcement is the end result of months of hard work and negotiations from a number of individuals, notably Greg Augustin. Our thanks go to Greg and everyone who put so much time into landing this for Loretto.”
Aviagen continues to grow and will be bringing more than 45 new jobs to the area. The process involved in making the relocation is expected to begin this spring. Aviagen will take part in a job fair to be held at the Loretto Civic Center on March 18, 2015.
