The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce presents the 31st Annual Christmas in the Country.  This popular Christmas shopping opportunity is the kick-off to Lawrence County's Christmas season.

 

Times for the event are Saturday 9a-5p; Sunday 1-4p; Admission Saturday and Sunday is $3.00, children eight and under free.  There will be a Special Showing Friday night, 6-9p, admission is $5.00 Friday night only.  Children eight and under free.

 

There will be over 100 booths with items such as antiques, baskets, canned goods, Christmas breads and candies, Christmas decorations, Christmas toys, crafts, doll clothes, dolls, folk art, fried pies, gifts, handmade crafts, jams, jellies, quilts, stitchery and lots more.

 

The holidays are a busy time for ole St Nick but he is dropping by Christmas in the Country Saturday from 10a-2p and Sunday from 1-3p.  So come visit SANTA CLAUS and tell him your holiday wishes.  It will be a great photo op for the children!

 

We are also going to have a special visit from WSMV Nashville Channel 4's Snowbird Sunday from 1 until 4p.  So bring your camera and have your photo taken with Snowbird himself!!

 

Several door prizes will be given away throughout the weekend.  The concession stand will be open and there is a eat-in area.

Directions:

From Columbia TN:  take Hwy 43S approx 35 miles to Lawrenceburg.  At 4th traffic light, turn right onto Weakley Creek Road, go one block, cross railroad tracks and immediately turn left onto Military Ave.  Go 1 1/2 blocks, Rotary Park is on right.

 

From Florence AL:  take Hwy 43N approx 40miles to Lawrenceburg.  At 5th traffic light, turn left onto Weakley Creek Road, go one block, cross railroad tracks and immediately turn left onto Military Ave.  Go 1 1/2 blocks, Rotary Park is on right.

 

From Waynesboro:  take Hwy 64E approx 25 miles to Lawrenceburg.  At 3rd traffic light, turn left onto N Military Ave, go approx 1 mile, Rotary Park is on left.

From Pulaski: take Hwy 64W approx 17 miles to Lawrenceburg.  At end of 64W (there is construction and you have to get off 64W at this point) turn right onto Hwy 43 N (from here you are approximately 2 miles from first traffic light).  At 5th traffic light, turn left onto Weakley Creek Road, go one block, cross railroad tracks and immediately turn left onto Military Ave.  Go 1 1/2 blocks, Rotary Park is on right.
